A very interesting breed of cats, that was not a result of a cross breeding, but a creation of nature itself. One very ordinary cat, living on a very ordinary farm in Scotland, gave birth to a very unordinary kitten. It had unusually curved ears, a result of a spontaneous mutation.

Appearance:

Scottish fold cats are of medium size with slender legs and round paws. Their muzzle has a distinctive strong chin and a wide short nose. Eyes are large and wide-set, with a multitude of possible colors (depending on the color of their coat). Their short fur tightly fits to their bodies, soft to the touch, rather thick and can be of various colors.

What should you do if your cat fell of a great height?

 

A few things that an owner of a cute feline creature should remember - cats are fearless and curious. They are not afraid of heights, and can climb any high-rise in pursuit of a fly. I'm sure that everyone, at least once in their life, saw a cat sitting on the top of a high tree. And trust me, it made its way there on purpose.

Maybe it was running away from a dog, and went extra mile (be it vertically) to make sure it is safe, or maybe it was chasing it's prey and didn't notice how high it climbed. It doesn't matter what the purpose was, what matters is how to get down. 

Most of the time it is not a problem, after getting some rest a cat will find its way down without any harm. But what if there is no safe way down? 

Cat sneezing a lot?

 

Cats, like people, sneeze from time to time. During sneezing, they rub their pink nose with their paws. This behavior is considered natural if it happens occasionally. Frequent sneezing is one of the symptoms of many feline diseases. And if your cat sneezes a lot, it should (rightfully) alert you.

A cat sneezes if:

♦ It has allergies. This is the most common cause of sneezing. Cats, like people, suffer from allergies. This can be a banal reaction to dust or other allergens. A veterinarian should examine your cat and determine what causes allergic reactions. After that you should follow veterinarians instructions, carefully monitor cat's diet and clean the room regularly (wipe the dust).

How old is your cat?

 

Is it possible to "convert" cat's age to a human age? As in find out how old would your cat be if he\she was a human? Yes, very easy actually.

If you want to calculate the age of your cat on your own, there are several different formulas for that, but all of them come down to this formulation: one cat year equals to seven human years. 

However, this is true for the first five years of a cat's life (i.e. until the cat reaches the age of five). After that every cat year is equal to five human years.
