SIBERIAN, THE CAT OF STEEL

I think everyone have heard about Siberian cat, but not everyone has the clear idea of how thoroughbred Siberian cat looks like and what kind of character it possesses.

I guess majority of people are familiar with harsh climate of Siberia, someone heard about it from hardened Siberians, someone even experienced it themselves. Such environment forces the "survival of the fittest" rule, one must think and act quickly, otherwise they will succumb to the cold.

With that in mind, you can understand why Siberian cats are strong, resilient, swift on the roll, proud and independent. But also unpretentious, handsome and rather graceful.

Officially registered over 20 years ago, Siberian cat is now recognized by every feline association of the world. They repeatedly become winners of the international exhibitions.

As a result of hundreds of years of natural selection, Siberian cats have a good health, stable mentality and good-natured character. The ancestors of today's Siberian cat were not a pampered creatures that fed on the host's handouts and spend their life indoors. On the contrary, natural selection favored the cats who were hunting their prey.

Siberian cats are excellent hunters: beetles, grasshoppers, flies, butterflies, mouse - beware!

This breed has no artificial impurities, they haven't lost their natural instinct. If they, accidentally, get lost, they are able to survive and find the way home.

Appearance:

Siberian cats are very strong. They have muscular bodies with large round paws. The head is relatively large, with cheekbones, pads and chin forming a smooth line, which is in harmony with the body type.

Coat of medium length, dense with double undercoat. Another feature of the Siberian cat - their fur doesn't tangles. Full mane, lush "pants" and bushy tail - very prominent and unique looks that won't let you confuse Siberian cat with a cat of any other breed.

Character:

Siberian cats have a very dedicated and friendly nature. They often choose a single host and their devotion to him is simply amazing. They get along well with children and other pets, and they truly enjoy romps.

Very intelligent and inquisitive. There will be no doors in your house that a Siberian cat wouldn't be able to open. As the saying goes - a space without borders. It is not a difficult task, considering their intelligence.

They don't like orders and commands. They will happily oblige, if you ask them nicely. Siberian cats might not respond to you, unless you call them by their name (the one which their beloved master gave them).

Favorite game - fetch. Throw a simple wrapper or a ball of paper and they will happily chase it and bring it back to you. Siberian cats have unexplainable interest to television, and seem to prefer watching shows about animals.

Siberian cats are absolutely sincere in their love and hate. Their ability to deep feelings, confidence in their own strength and calm disposition, combined with an independent character command respect.
