Siamese kittens are born white, with charming pink noses and pink pads on the paws. Only at the age of seven to nine months old, they acquire their typical Siamese color - "Color Point", light coat around the majority of the torso, with darker colored paws, ears, muzzle and tail. A very distinctive feature of the Siamese cat is a "mask" on the face, coat of darker color, which never extends beyond the top of the head.
Character:
This is a very "talkative" breed. Very playful, loves to be the center of attention, but capable of quietly tolerating the loneliness. This is a freedom-loving cat breed, do not be surprised, if your smallest attempts to subdue the cat will be met with the tantrum. They are independent, stubborn and have a hot temper. If you dream about a docile kitten, which you can squeeze whenever you please, then Siamese cat is not for you. Siamese cats have their own view of life, and they will demand you to reckon with that.
At the same time, Siamese cats are very attached to their owner and will jealously guard their beloved master, especially if there are other animals in the house. Very wary of strangers. Siamese cats seem to feel the mood of the owner. There is a misconception that these cats can attack their master. But it is far from truth. If Siamese cat is surrounded with care and affection, it will repay you the same.
Care:
Siamese cats have silky coat that requires minimal care. You don't need for special brushes, it is enough to gently go over the coat, from head to tip of the tail, with a wet hand. All the lost hair will stick to your hand. But, it is necessary to clean their teeth and ears, and, occasionally, bathe.
Health:
Siamese cats have excellent health. With proper care and feeding, these cats can live up to 20 years or more.
