UKRAINIAN LEVKOY, A CAT WITH A DOG'S HEAD

Ukrainian Levkoy - original specie of hairless cats, obtained as a result of selective breeding. This breed is under development and not yet recognized by WCF and FIF. The name is directly translated as "Ukrainian Gillyflower", because the creator of the breed (Elena Biriukova) noticed, that the ears of the newborn kittens look like the plant, and Ukrainian - because the development of the breed begun there.

Ukrainian Levkoy - graceful, flexible, long-legged cat with almond-shaped expressive eyes. It is extraordinary. She has no passive admirers, a person will either be charmed by the cat at first sight, or will claim that it is "unpleasant to look at". Hot debates going on around this breed. Some argue that Levkoy - cat, with amazing character and appearance, while others are ardent opponents, well what can I say - to each their own.

One can say with confidence that, in spite of the appearance, which might be unusual and controversial for some people (imagine a cat with a dog's head, or vice versa - a dog with a cat's body), these cats have a wonderful character.

Ukrainian Levkoy has a very warm to the touch (like a bottle of hot water) skin, with a "velvety" feel. This pet is made for the fans of exclusive and extraordinary. It looks more like an alien, than a fluffy cat.

Character:

Ukrainian Levkoy - curious, he just has to participate in everything that is going on. If you prefer solitude, then this "creature" is not for you. They have a gentle good-natured character, they know how to stand up for themselves, but are not vindictive.

Some say that "Ukrainian Sphynx" doesn't belong to the cat family. They have very loyal and loveable character, very attached to their master. Sociable, curious, intelligent, delicate and quite a quick learners... ...the list goes on. They easily get along and find "common language" with other inhabitants in the house.

Ukrainian Levkoy gives their owners a lot of positive and pleasant experiences, as well as many happy and comic moments. One can never be sad with a good-natured alien-looking creature around them.

Health:

Unfortunately, these cats have predisposition to a lot of diseases (respiratory, digestive, nervous, cardiovascular), as well as infections (eye, ear, rectal), in some cases loss of the uterus and hernia. Average life expectancy of Ukrainian Levkoy cat is 10-14 years.

Care:

Since Ukrainian Levkoy is a hairless breed (some fur is present, in the form of soft bristle), they need to be bathed often. It is advised to purchase special bathing shampoo for cats.

Because of the lack of fur, these cats need warm clothes, and they must be protected from direct sunlight in the summer.
